Hatha Yoga

In Sanskrit, "hatha" simply means force, or the physical practice of yoga. A Hatha class moves through postures one at a time, holding each long enough to feel it, rather than flowing quickly from one to the next.

What to expect in a Hatha class

01

Warm up & breathe

Each class opens with a few minutes of seated breathwork to settle the mind before the body moves.

02

Hold each posture

Postures are held for several breaths at a time, with cues on alignment so you feel the pose, not just perform it.

03

Close & rest

Every class ends in a guided relaxation, letting the nervous system fully absorb the practice.
