Founding Instructor Programme — Terms

This is an addendum to the Instructor Agreement.

1. What this is

The Founding Instructor Programme recognizes the instructors who join YogSpace during its beta period, before the platform charges commission or reaches general availability. This addendum applies in addition to, and does not replace, the main Instructor Agreement — if the two conflict, the Instructor Agreement governs unless this document expressly says otherwise.

2. Who qualifies

You qualify as a Founding Instructor if you complete Verification (per the Instructor Agreement), opt in to this Programme, and deliver at least one Session before YogSpace declares beta over — sourced either through YogSpace's own outreach (e.g., the Yoga Alliance registry) or brought in through your own existing student relationships.

3. What you get

While the Programme is active, and permanently once you've qualified:

  • A permanently pinned Tier 4 commission rate (16%) once commission is enabled platform-wide — regardless of your actual trailing session volume. Everyone else's rate moves with their volume per the Instructor Agreement's tier table; yours doesn't move down from Tier 4, even if your volume would otherwise place you in a higher-commission tier.
  • 0% commission during beta — same as every instructor on the platform right now, since commission is off platform-wide; this isn't a founding-specific perk yet, but you keep the Tier 4 rate once it does turn on.
  • "Founding Instructor" recognition on your public profile. (Exact badge/visual treatment: to be designed — not yet live in the product.)
  • Priority placement in student-facing search/browse results relative to non-founding instructors who join later. (Exact ranking mechanic: not yet built — this perk is a commitment, not yet a shipped feature.)
  • A direct feedback channel to the YogSpace team (via the instructor feedback form and WhatsApp with our Head of Instructor Relations) to shape how the product develops before general launch.

4. What we ask of you

  • Bring your existing students onto the Platform where practical, so real usage can surface real product issues.
  • Respond to the instructor feedback form when we send it.
  • Keep your calendar and availability reasonably up to date so Students can actually book you.
  • Report bugs, payment issues, or confusing flows directly rather than going silent — this is the whole point of a founding cohort.

There is no minimum session count or exclusivity requirement to remain a Founding Instructor unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

5. How commission gets turned on later

When YogSpace is ready to start charging commission platform-wide, we will:

  1. Give Founding Instructors at least 30 days' advance notice, same as every instructor under Instructor Agreement Section 5.1.
  2. Apply your permanently pinned Tier 4 rate (16%) from that point forward — you do not move to Tier 1 and work your way back up; you start, and stay, at the best rate.

6. Duration & what happens if the programme ends

Programme membership, once earned, doesn't expire — the Tier 4 pin in Section 3 is permanent, not limited to the beta window. "The Programme ending" refers only to new instructors no longer being able to qualify under Section 2 once beta is declared over; it does not remove the perks already earned by existing Founding Instructors.

7. Leaving the Programme early

You can stop participating (i.e., stop teaching on the Platform) at any time per the termination terms in the main Instructor Agreement. If you stop teaching and later return, your Founding Instructor status and Tier 4 pin are retained as long as your account remains in good standing.
